The Executive Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi SAN. has reiterated the need for youths in Ondo State to offer to the Nigerian political structure an ideology motivated system, this he stated at the first Ondo State Progressive Stakeholders Round Table Discussion themed, “Patriotic Partnership; Driving an Agenda of inclusion and Collective Growth held at the International Event Center, Akure, Ondo State.


According to Ondo State Governor, the time has come for youths in Ondo State and Nigeria at large to take their rightful place in the political setup of the nation as the nation is in a dire and desperate need to have a paradigm shift in ideology which he stated is highly critical to ensure the sustenance of the nation at large.


He commended the leadership of youths in the All Progressive Congress in Nigeria who took the first step in having a constructive discussion on the advancement of youths in Politics in Nigeria, the Governor also explained that Nigeria cannot continue to operate on its current political structure adding that the nation’s political system needs a new direction which must be built on a valid and progressive ideological framework.


In his words, “We want a political system that is primarily centered on the people and the growth of Nigeria, a political structure that is value oriented and we believe that our youths has the much needed potentials to lead us into this new reality which will ensure the holistic advancement of the nation.”


While enjoining youths in the state never to neglect the place of mentoring, he also advocated the inclusion of women in key leadership roles in the Nation, according to him, women are integral and highly resourceful members of the society whose contributions will go a long way in adding value to the nation’s political structure. He also added his led governance will continue to promote youth’s inclusion in governance as well as women inclusion leadership roles.


Present at the events are APC Ondo State Chairman, Engr Ade Adetimehin, Chief of Staff. Chief Olugbenga Ale, Member of Federal House of Representative Hon.Abiola Makinde, Member of Federal House of Representative Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, APC Southwest Youth Leader Comr. Lawal Kolade Paff and other important dignitaries.
