“Rural Development to be given Prominence in Ondo State” Akeredolu

…all rural roads to be made motorable through RAAMP

The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN has reiterated the desire of his led administration in Ondo State to aggressively pursue rural and community development in Ondo State.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa at the Grant Aiding of Communal Self-Help Projects in Commemoration of the First 100 days in office of the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

According to him, the Akeredolu led administration in Ondo State is committed to changing the narratives for the better in rural communities across the 18 local government areas of the State.

” Akeredolu during his first term began the deliberate move to make rural areas in Ondo State places where rural enterprise will thrive and what we are witnessing today is a testament of his commitment to ensuring this”

He further explained that Rural Communities in Ondo State prior to the inception of the Akeredolu led administration was characterized with various unpalatable features such as lack of good roads, inadequate supply of electricity, lack of qualitative water supply among others, however the Ondo State Governor has made deliberate effort to reverse this trend by creating in our rural communities an environment that is livable and sustainable.

Also he added that through the Ondo State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), all rural roads will be made motorable for easy accessibility for all its citizens.

Cheque was presented by the Deputy Governor to the Special Adviser, Rural and Community Development, Babatunde Kolawole, the grant is expected to be used for the construction and completion of the following projects, Construction of Slaughter Slab in Akungba Akoko; Repair of Community Market, Odode Idanre; Improvement of Police Post at Ugbonla Ilaje; Rehabilitation/Bridge Construction in Ifesowopo Community Grammar School Adoja Odigbo; Construction of Civic Centre in Igorise Community Ode-Aye; Atoranse Wooden Foot bridge, Irele

Present at the event are, Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladuni Odu, Mr. Dare Aragbaiye, Special Adviser Union matters & Special Duties; Special Adviser, Rural and Community Development Babatunde Kolawole and the Head of Service Mr John Adeyemo .
